Safely operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle on scheduled routes, delivering and picking up compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and hard goods.
Load and unload your vehicle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all deliveries and pick-ups.
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, resolving service inquiries and maintaining strong customer relations.
Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, addressing deficiencies and ensuring safety equipment is in optimal working condition.
Collaborate as a team player to maintain a positive work environment, demonstrating a can-do attitude and a sense of urgency.
Efficiently manage your delivery routes and adapt to changing circumstances, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Maintain compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations, upholding safety as the top priority at all times.
Provide assistance with tasks such as maintaining inventory, performing counter sales, and participating in cylinder inspections.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid Class B CDL driver's license is required.
Successful completion of Airgas Background Check, Motor Vehicle Check, and DOT Clearinghouse verification.
Minimum one year of commercial driving experience with similar equipment or completion of an accredited truck driving school within the last five years.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with diverse customers and colleagues.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically lift weights ranging from 25 to over 100 lbs.
Fluent in English, with the ability to read, interpret, and communicate safety rules and operational instructions.
Strong problem-solving skills, enabling resolution of customer inquiries and logistical challenges.
Adherence to a drug-free workplace and commitment to maintaining a professional appearance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least one year of CDL Class A or B driving experience with like equipment or graduated from an accredited truck driving school.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the Company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to calculate percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
