What is the compensation package?
Pay Range: (G34) $78,257 - $107,878 per annum (paid in bi-weekly installments)

What are the main duties?
Lead development and implementation of comprehensive public information, marketing, and public relations strategies aligned with airport objectives.
Manage all media relations, including news releases, interviews, media briefings, newsletters, reports, and crisis and emergency communications.
Develop policies and procedures to ensure accurate, timely dissemination of airport information and support leadership with communication issues affecting operations.
Create, design, oversee, and evaluate airport, airline, and route‑specific marketing campaigns and prepare related promotional materials.
Manage in‑terminal advertising programs, including vendor coordination, contract creative review, and revenue optimization.
Collaborate with air service development teams on presentations, market analyses, promotional materials, and airline‑facing communications supporting new or expanded routes.
Serve as the Airport’s Title VI and ACDBE Coordinator and participate on cross‑functional, design, safety, or operational committees as assigned.
Direct consultants and cross‑functional teams.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, messaging, creative assets, and final public‑facing deliverables for compliance and accuracy.
Coordinate with city officials, airport leadership, community partners, tenants, airline representatives, and other stakeholders on communication and marketing needs.
May supervise staff, including workload scheduling, performance reviews, training, discipline, and staffing decisions, and perform other related duties as needed.
What are the minimum requirements?
Provo City will honor an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Aviation Management, or closely related field.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public information, airport or transportation marketing, or a related field with at least three years of supervisory or project management experience.
A valid, lawful driver license.
Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), AAAE certifications, or membership in professional communication or aviation organizations such as AAE, ACC, ACI-NA, or PRSA is preferred.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on March 12, 2026. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
