Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

The work model for the role is hybrid.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.

  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers.

  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.

  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for new business development for products targeting the Data Center market segment.

Main Products

  • Extra High Voltage (EHV) Switchgear
  • Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear
  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
  • STS (Static Transfer Switch)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop new customer relationships with colocation and hyperscale data center operators
  • Manage existing customer accounts and identify new project opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal and external global stakeholders to expand market reach and increase sales opportunities
  • Identify and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders

Qualifications for the role

【Education】

  • Graduate National Institute of Technology (KOSEN) or above

  • Electrical Engineering background preferred (Mechanical Engineering acceptable)

【Language Skills】

  • Japanese: Native or near-native proficiency

  • English: Business level (communication with overseas customers required)

【Required Experience & Skills】

  • Minimum 3 years of new business development or account management experience in B2B market   (preferably manufacturing industry)

  • Basic knowledge of electrical products

  • Ability to understand and follow wiring diagrams for technical catch-up

【Preferred Experience & Skills】

  • Knowledge of low and high voltage switchgear equipment

  • Experience with transformers and eHouse systems

  • Sales experience with general contractors (Zenecon) or EPC companies

  • Minimum 5 years of new business development or account management exerience in B2B market (preferably manufacturing industry)
