The Job

As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous supply and timely delivery of production and non-production materials to maintain optimal efficiency and effectiveness of the production line. Your role will involve scheduling and releasing shipments for open purchase orders, work orders, and kanbans, while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory for specified sources of supply and product portfolios. You will also monitor supplier capacity against incoming customer orders and forecasts, handle quality issues related to on-time delivery and non-conforming shipments, and resolve invoice exceptions and price discrepancies.

You’ll get to: 

  • Coordinate with the Traffic department for expedited, re-consigned, or diverted shipments based on production schedule changes to lead-time on material or products, and to expedite order placement.
  • Manage daily business relationships with approved suppliers and process purchase orders with approved suppliers as necessary.
  • Analyze service performance, inventory levels and premium costs to deliver customer line fill rate improvement to 95%; make recommendations to improve performance and work with the appropriate functional managers and teams to ensure metrics are achieved.
  • Ensure 100% on-time and complete product promotions/launches.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of Supply Planning and Supplier Management processes to achieve target stock.
  • Maintain accurate material master data and planning parameters for all finished goods or components.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Center, Transportation team, & Forwarder Agents for shipment delivery and OS&D discrepancies resolution.     
  • Successfully deliver New Product launch & Sourcing Change transition through the stages of Capacity Evaluation, Set Up, Production & Market Delivery. 
  • Work collaboratively with all functional areas of the business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, & Demand Planning, etc. to solve problems and identify business improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or present as the voice of Supply Chain Ops at Capacity Planning, NPD, and Team Meetings, etc.

The Person

  • BS Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management / Industry Engineering or related field.
  • 3-4 years Supply Chain Experience.
  • Excellent English & Chinese communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of the production flow and processes.
  • Must have a working knowledge of inventory control and scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, ERP, & MRP systems preferred. MS Excel & Outlook required.
  • Ability to self-start and work independently, understanding what needs to be done and taking the required actions to maintain production.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Strong attention to detail required ability to mitigate short term issues through prioritization and anticipation in a long-term planning environment.
  • Excellent priority management, time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment, reasoning and analytical skills necessary to accomplish position responsibilities.
  • Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and have a passion for excellence.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to overcome challenges.
