The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the process, requirements and expectations involved in managing client services across the Middle East and Asia.
Reporting into the VP Brand Consulting APAC, this individual will be expected to travel to client events, tournaments or individual matches and lead event operations and content creation on behalf of our client, a leading urban development project, from programme to design to execution.
From planning and supplier engagement, to managing on-the-ground logistics and hospitality hosting – this role requires an enthusiastic, organised, and outgoing leader, that is willing to go the extra mile.
What does the role involve?
• Senior client liaison, stakeholder management, budget planning and reporting
• Working closely with the account, planning and creative team to develop and deliver a state-of-the-art partnership program with a strong focus on the event and hospitality experience
• Establish relationships with the rights holder to meet ongoing approvals and deadlines
• Develop an actionable strategy that maximises partnership assets and aligns with brand and business objectives.
• Liaise with rights holder to track, schedule and manage partnership rights and assets.
• Act as a consultant, advising and guiding the client on best practice and processes to drive the sponsorship to new heights
• Oversee and manage team members in the creation of the partnership program
• International travel to deliver in-market guest programmes, including to host and manage senior level guest logistics (as required).
Requirements
• An event and hospitality expert with 8-10 years’ experience that understands the ins and outs of how to activate brands at major sports events
• A marketeer at heart who wants to elevate the brand experiences and doesn’t just execute on behalf of the brand
• Extensive experience managing complex, international guest programmes on behalf of global partners in sport.
• Ability to manage intricate operations both from the office and whilst out in the field.
• A leader, team player and experience managing junior colleagues.
• Calm, organised and solution-orientated with meticulous attention to detail and high standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• An agency / client servicing background is preferrable but not essential.
• Project implementation experience with an existing vendor network in the Middle East and Asia is preferred
• Must be fluent in English, additional Asian language skills are advantageous
