Position Summary
The Technical Architect I supports IT Enterprise Governance by assisting in the design and implementation of technical architecture solutions for modernization and transformation projects. This role collaborates with senior architects and cross-functional teams to develop architecture drawings, define technical user stories, and ensure adherence to established standards and guardrails. The Technical Architect I contributes to technical analysis, documentation, and visualization of desired state architectures, while providing input into strategic direction based on research and business needs. Additionally, this position prepares artifacts, presents technical details to stakeholders, and continuously learns best practices to support OMES, partner agencies, and IT Enterprise Governance.
Key Responsibilities
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical major and 2+ years of professional experience in software development, including 1+ years of architecture or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
