Business Applications Trainer - Digital Transformation

Our growing company is hiring a Business Applications Trainer. In this newly created position, you will be responsible for leading successful training efforts to align our workforce with our Digital Transformation journey. To qualify you must be a self-starter, able to work directly with cross functional Project Managers and Project teams to embrace the vision, help define the steps, and become part of the implementation solutions.

   You must be an evangelist, who embraces the challenge of motivating and enabling people to grow and transform the way they work. You must be a tenacious learner, able to dive into a new application from the perspective of different roles. Able to then create effective training materials to facilitate workforce learning in the use of these new tools. We are looking for an adaptable change agent, who can communicate effectively across a diverse global staff, with solid technical and people skills, to join our team.

This position is being offered as an On-site in Beverly, MA or Hybrid On-site / Home Office location.

Responsibilities  

  • Rapid learning of new applications and systems for multiple roles / user types and then becoming the educator of subject matter experts and end users.
  • Design, develop, and drive best practice learning toolkits and educational support materials with a global reach.
  • Demonstrate experience delivering written technical manuals and documents using business-oriented language.
  • Deliver training in various training formats, in person and virtual classroom or blended programs to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Diagnose learning challenges and create relevant end to end learning solutions that ensure alignment to digital transformation goals of the business.
  • Ability to prepare & deliver effective in-person (hands on) and remote training classes, that are engaging, informative, and succinct.
  • Ability to conduct genuine business training needs analysis and demand planning.
  • Think creatively to craft “just in time” learning solutions, including eLearning’s, videos, knowledge forums, internal expert talks, and other creative knowledge sharing techniques.
  • Participate on in-flight project teams to understand training needs and provide educational support to projects in terms of methodology, approach, tools and results.
  • Research new formats and learning tools to influence the selection process of new system implementations, ensuring they align with educational offerings.
  • Become a key liaison and partner to the Integrated Business Team by evaluating and identifying training gaps and developing prioritized recommendations for improvements.
  • Demonstrate strength in interpersonal communications to provide program & project managers with the support they require.
  • Aid in the development and execution of testing procedures to identify training and development needs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Work closely with program sponsors and subject matter experts to develop training plans and help structure the training programs to run across global locations.
  • Work with our Marketing Communications team to ensure appropriate branding, quality, and messaging alignment in all material presentations and handouts.
  • Prepare metrics and reports on the impact and effectiveness of training programs.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in training and development including needs assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation or equivalent experience in a related field to gained expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (education, instructional design, or computer science).
  • Experience creating needs assessments to determine specific learning needs of the business.
  • Experience with business process education, mapping, and communication.
  • Experience working with project management concepts, work breakdown structures, prioritization and planning of work.
  • Capable of leading, following, and team collaboration.
  • Design learning solutions to meet learning needs and align with the successful roll out of business applications and process.
  • Experience with planning, developing, and executing formal training content to ensure adoption and success.
  • Assess and improve the effectiveness of ongoing employee and management education strategies, to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Able to synthesize training topics into meaningful information and prepare materials appropriate for management level communications.
  • Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions across multiple projects on which the training programs may depend.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals from multiple countries, cultures, & languages.
  • Availability for occasional travel domestic or abroad should the need arise.
  • Ability to manage training requirements for multiple concurrent projects within a midsize multinational organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with LMS systems to support tracking, evaluation, and delivery of training content.
  • Ability to assess various enterprise training requirements, transform them into effective training programs & establish continuous improvement processes.
