This front-line leader position manages a team of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Liaison Engineers within our Component Operations Program in Jacksonville, Florida. This role will primarily focus on F18 Flight Control Surfaces though has the opportunity to support other platforms. This role is pivotal in managing engineering and technical activities related to Production Engineering.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads planning and integration activities for profit and loss stand-alone support program(s) or major support business/program element where business needs dictate.
  • Applies technical knowledge of product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities.
  • Manages employees performing activities related to Program Management.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional engineering role
  • 1+ years of experience supporting manufacturing/production operations
  • 1+ years leadership experience (team lead, project management, management)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading or managing multi-disciplined technical teams
  • 3+ years of experience in MRO Environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a production engineering role
  • 3+ years of experience working NCR tags with MRB delegation
