Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$44,500.00 - $73,400.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assigning claims to appropriate claim professionals. Coordinating and monitoring claim professional activities to ensure prompt inspections and maximization of adjuster resources.

What Will You Do?

  • Assigns claims to appropriate claim professionals and independent adjusters as required to maintain an equitable distribution of workload throughout assigned territories.
  • Maintains contact and open communication with leadership and claim professionals throughout the day in order to alert and assign new claims appropriately.
  • Makes quality initial contact with insured as appropriate, consistently providing superior customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Utilizes knowledge of Personal and/or Business Insurance coverage to triage based on file complexity and severity and escalates to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Recognizes Subrogation potential and Travelers Investigative Services involvement.
  • Balances daily workloads including notices, task assignments and reassignments taking into account location, proximity, territory and skill set required. Reviews relevant operational management information and shifts resources as necessary to achieve optimal productivity and customer service.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documents information in claim system. Document changes to assignments in file notes.
  • Directs information in real-time to appropriate system or staff. Includes tracking of assignments using Excel and leveraging COGNOS data in combination with other tools.
  • Proactively leverages information to identify trends, emerging issues and opportunities (i.e. remap-realign territories) to be more effective and communicates proposal to local leadership.
  • Monitors pending assignments to assist office leadership with maintaining high service levels (i.e. leveraging reports such as Property Pending Inspections and Property Scheduled Inspections).
  • May participate on occasional Catastrophe duty including other offices and states as may be required. Also works with the National Catastrophe Center to support Virtual Resolution claim triage and assignment: Property only.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of work and/or customer service related experience preferred.
  • Claim experience preferred.
  • Ability to determine geographic locations, including map reading ability - Intermediate.

What is a Must Have?

  • High School Diploma or GED with one year of work or customer service related experience OR Bachelor's Degree required.
