We’re Looking For A: Motivated law student for a legal internship position.  The candidate will work closely with our in-house attorneys and provide support on diverse tasks including intellectual property matters, litigation, labor and employment, data privacy laws, corporate governance, and other assigned legal projects.  The candidate will gain invaluable insights into the legal landscape of a market leader in direct response marketing and the complex nature of in-house legal practice for health and wellness, pet food, and cosmetic industries.

Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Perform substantive legal research, draft legal memos, and create other internal legal documentation;
  • Provide support in IP procurement, maintenance, and enforcement;
  • Conduct assessment of data privacy laws and regulations to help support privacy compliance;
  • Assist with analyzing emerging legal and business issues;
  • Assist with document gathering in response to discovery requests;
  • Coordinate projects and communications among various internal business units;
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes affecting the company's operations and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders;
  • Attend meetings with outside counsel to gain exposure to legal communication skills;
  • Collaborate with other legal team members on various projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • Current law student at an ABA-accredited law school in good academic standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing ,and analytical skills;
  • Solid time management skills, attention to detail, and good organizational skills; 
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a corporate setting;
  • Experience using LexisNexis and AI-powered search tools.

The base salary range is $17-$20.

The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please click here to find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote”
