About the Role
You will provide both clinical support and administrative assistance to the Young Adult Complex Disability Service and Polio Service Victoria allied health professional (AHP) teams.
This position works within a flexible, interdisciplinary structure that ensures the delivery of high quality services, making sure that the needs of HIP Disability clients are met and that they receive ‘the right treatment in the right place at the right time’.
Duties:
Under the direction of AHPs, you will:
Provide therapy support services to individuals and groups. This may include land, pool, outpatient, home or community based care.
Complete tasks required to support the delivery of a busy interdisciplinary clinic
Complete clinical and non-clinical administrative tasks including patient related documentation and meeting preparation, and stock ordering/monitoring.
The classification for this position is Allied Health Assistant Grade 3 (IN30) ($64,464 per annum, pro rata for part time).
Your Contribution
Successful completion of at lease Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) from RTO or its equivalent, OR
A degree in Human Movement, Exercise Physiology, Physical Education.
Current Nationally Coordinated criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Health Independence Program - Disability Stream
Health Independence Programs (HIP) improve and maintain a person’s optimal independence within the community and support clients’ health needs related to hospitalisation.
The HIP Disability Stream consists of two main services –Young Adult Complex Disability Service and Polio Services Victoria. Both services are state-wide services, providing multi-disciplinary care to young adults with a complex disability transitioning into the adult health care system; and patients with a history of poliomyelitis, respectively. Patient care may be delivered within the hospital outpatient clinic, regional health services, rehabilitation gym, hydrotherapy pool, at home, or in their local community.
