Die Cast Metal Hauler/Material Handler - MCO

Summary

As the Die Cast Metal Hauler, you will be primarily responsible for loading and unloading raw material from a melting furnace and transporting and delivering molten material to the die cast machines.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Use forklift to move materials and product within department as instructed.
  • Perform maintenance and cleaning activities for the melt furnace.
  • Team members are expected to work wherever needed based on training.
  • Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area.
  • Complete company provided training.
  • Pick boxed merchandise from warehouse.
  • Print bar code label to identify product.
  • Operate forklift out-of-doors in a scrap dumping operation.
  • Investigates inventory discrepancies and concludes the most probable cause of errors.
  • Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
  • Participate in continuous improvement process. Perform special projects as assigned.

 

Skills, Experience, & Education

  • Ability to operate numerous forklifts: electric stand-up, electric sit-down, L.P. and side load, in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to communicate well with others.
  • Ability to count accurately.
  • Certification as Polaris forklift driver required.
  • Ability to take instructions and work with little supervision.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane.
  • Ability to work in a changing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Team Player with focus on customer service and Quality.
  • High School (High school diploma) degree or equivalent.

Starting Rate:

$19.00
