About the Role:

We are in the midst of creating a small team to rebuild and maintain valuation infrastructure at Remitly. Currently this team consists of a data scientist. The team is in need of an analytical business leader who can partner with data science in the model build-out, but also lead the implementation and business optimization of the model infrastructure across Remitly.

You Will:

  • Create a best-in-class valuations capability at Remitly, including complimentary products.
  • Partner with Finance and all business areas at Remitly to gather requirements and identify needs for valuations capabilities.
  • Partner with Data Science to create the valuations capabilities roadmap and deliver the capabilities over time.
  • Work with business units to responsibly adopt the model into current use cases.
  • Partner with business units to identify greater uses of valuations capabilities to drive business value.
  • Develop best practices for model use and ensure adherence across Remitly.
  • Develop model monitoring and performance requirements; partner with Data Science to ensure that model performance is within bounds and address when performance deteriorates.

You Have:

  • 10+ years experience in developing, deploying and managing valuations models in financial services
  • Demonstrated success in delivering value through enhanced valuations capabilities
  • 10+ years experience leading cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business analysts, and data scientists
  • 5+ years experience influencing senior leadership, including C-suite executives

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $160,000-$200,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
