The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

The Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision leads integration and application of modeling and simulation capabilities and modern analysis workflows to support end-to-end effects chain analysis and space and space-enabled campaign modeling.  These capabilities, used in collaboration with domain experts across the Engineering and Technology Group, support integrated needs of a broad range of customers.

Work Model

This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO which requires 100% onsite work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform analysis and trade studies to help assess performance and interdependence of National Security Systems
  • Provide analysis support to multiple programs and/or activities simultaneously and be comfortable acting as a technical point-of-contact
  • Deliver high-quality reports and briefings, and present recommendations to customers and Aerospace management
  • Work closely with engineers, scientists, and software developers to develop maintainable, high-performance applications and M&S capabilities
  • Communicate with customers to translate their requirements into models. Identify gaps in existing software products and build or coordinate with the development team to build capabilities to improve the existing tools

What You Need to be Successful Member of Technical Staff

Minimum Requirements for Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited program in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline
  • Current and active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Experience in astrodynamics, sensors or communications systems with a background in physics-based modeling of space systems and their operations
  • Experience in multi-INT tracking and kill chain analysis
  • Experience in at least one of the following: tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling
  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for understanding space systems and operations
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conduct detailed technical analysis using modeling and simulation capabilities, fuse data to produce novel insights and conclusions and effectively communicate results
  • Be a proactive, fast learner with the willingness and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Senior Member Technical Staff include:

  • Bachelors, Masters, PhD] degree [applicable STEM areas or other discipline
  • 5+ years of experience.

  • Proficiency in C/C++

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
