Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to find a Staff-level DevSecOps Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.
This position may be at our Morrisville, NC, Aurora CO, Fairfax VA, or Linthicum MD sites. (Compensation varies per location)
A DevOps Engineer plans and evolves processes and infrastructure to execute programs which support rapid maturation and deployment of capability while sustaining a stable security posture and incorporating ongoing stakeholder feedback. Integrates development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. Implements provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, componentizing, or Cloud distribution. Functions with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. Ensures implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
Basic Qualifications
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at time of application
Must be willing to submit and successfully pass a polygraph
Must have a completed STEM degree [a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics]
12 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's (STEM)
10 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's (STEM)
8 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD (STEM)
Must have above minimum experience on the below:
Experience with developing microservices
Must hold a Security+ Certification
Experience with Kubernetes, AWS/C2S and Terraform
Experience with Linux and Ansible
Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git/Version Control Software
Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels
Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, AWS Cloud Security
Preferred Qualifications
Active/Adjudicated Polygraph (CI or FSP)
Experience creating, developing, and implementing solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements
Ability to identify the needs to build automation, designing and implementing CICD solutions
Experience working with Docker containers and Helm charts
Familiarity with space vehicle ground segment design
Experience with Agile development
Excellent technical writing and team building skills

Salary Range: $150,000.00 - $247,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
