Manager, Information Security
At Chanel, we are focused on creating an inclusive culture that nurtures personal growth, contributing to collective progress. We believe the uniqueness of each individual increases the diversity, complementarity and effectiveness of our teams. We strongly encourage your application, as we value the perspective, experience and potential you could bring to CHANEL.
About the role:
CHANEL is seeking an Information Security Manager to join our US Information Security Team, reporting directly to the Head of Information Security. You will design and execute enterprise-wide security awareness initiatives that influence behavior change, play a pivotal role in advancing our Security by Design pillar, and owning overall security program management. You will ensure security is embedded throughout our business processes, manage risks associated with vendors and partners, lead awareness campaigns, and influence the execution of our security portfolio.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of enterprise cyber security experience, including program management, security metrics and dashboarding, and third-party risk management.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive security awareness and training programs for all users: employees, contractors, and partners.
Develop engaging content and campaigns to promote a culture of security awareness.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of awareness initiatives, reporting outcomes, and driving continuous improvement.
Champion the integration of security principles in business processes, products, and services from inception through delivery.
Collaborate with procurement, legal, and business teams to assess and mitigate vendor risks.
Manage the portfolio of security initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
Foster collaboration across departments to drive the successful execution of security projects.
You are energized by:
Leading with Curiosity and Purpose: Driven to understand how things work, proactively embedding security throughout the organization. You ask “why” and “how” to uncover root causes and drive lasting improvements.
Navigating Complexity: Thriving in environments where priorities shift and ambiguity is the norm. Comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and adapting quickly to change.
Building Collaborative Relationships: Believing the best outcomes are achieved together. Energized by working with passionate teammates across business, technology, legal, and vendor management functions.
Championing Security Awareness: Passionate about empowering others; you enjoy designing training and awareness programs that engage and inspire, making security accessible for everyone.
Managing and Influencing Without Authority: Leading by example, building trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels—even without formal authority.
Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Motivated by ongoing personal and professional growth, staying informed about emerging threats, best practices, and innovative approaches in the security industry.
Upholding Integrity and Trust: Committed to doing the right thing, even when it’s hard; acting as a role model for ethical and transparent behavior.
What you will bring to the team:
Proven Experience in Information Security: A strong foundation in information security, risk management, and security program leadership—ideally in complex, fast-paced environments.
Expertise in Third Party Risk: Hands-on experience and understanding the nuances of assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks from external partnerships.
Security by Design Mindset: Championing the embedding of security early in the development lifecycle and business processes, not just as an afterthought.
Engaging Security Awareness Leadership: Demonstrated success in building and delivering impactful security awareness and training initiatives that resonate with diverse audiences—not just technical teams.
Program & Project Management: A track record of managing cross-functional security projects from concept through completion and balancing competing priorities.
Communication & Influence: Excellent communicator—able to distill complex topics into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled at listening, adapting, and influencing without authority.
Diverse Perspective: Offering a unique viewpoint that challenges our team and enhances our creativity—whether rooted in a different industry, culture, educational path, or lived experience. We especially value backgrounds underrepresented in security and technology.
Continuous Learning: Keeping up with the latest security threats, tools, and best practices, and motivated to bring fresh insights to the team.
