Job Summary:

Goosehead Insurance is seeking a proven and dedicated sales leader to oversee and scale one of our corporate sales markets. The primary responsibility of an Associate Director is to lead, develop, and inspire a team of Sales Managers and Account Executives to achieve office-wide revenue and growth goals.

An Associate Director is responsible for driving performance across all key business metrics, including revenue, headcount growth, employee retention, lead generation, and agent productivity. This is accomplished by coaching leaders, reinforcing consistent execution of proven inputs, and building a high-performance culture that fosters accountability, energy, and long-term engagement.

This role requires a balance of leadership, strategy, and execution. Associate Directors serve as the connective tissue between corporate initiatives and field execution, ensuring alignment while also identifying opportunities to innovate and improve outcomes at the office level.

Professional development opportunities for Associate Directors may include progression to Managing Director roles, multi-office leadership, or equity-earning partnership opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Sales Managers, ensuring consistent execution of coaching, accountability, and performance management across all teams.

• Directly lead and develop a small team of Account Executives while also overseeing and coaching Sales Managers and their respective teams.

• Drive office-wide performance across key metrics including revenue, headcount growth, agent productivity, employee retention, and lead generation.

• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Sales Managers to provide guidance, remove obstacles, and ensure alignment on goals and execution strategies.

• Foster a high-performance culture that is energetic, accountable, and engaging—creating an environment where team members are motivated to succeed and grow long-term within the organization.

• Partner with Talent Acquisition and leadership to recruit, interview, and hire top-tier talent, including both Account Executives and Sales Managers.

• Oversee and approve marketing and lead generation strategies, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with office growth objectives.

• Act as a strategic resource for Sales Managers and agents by reinforcing best practices in sales execution, networking, and referral partner development.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate leadership, other offices, and carrier partners to drive alignment and maximize business outcomes.

• Maintain organization and oversight across all aspects of office operations, including performance tracking, reporting, and general office management.

• Implement and reinforce company initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve processes, drive innovation, and enhance overall performance.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Minimum of 5 years of successful sales leadership experience.

• Proven track record of scaling teams and driving measurable business results.

• Experience leading other leaders (Sales Managers or equivalent roles) strongly preferred.

• Successful completion of the state licensing exam upon employment.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Proven success in fast-paced, high-growth environments

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop leaders

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Strategic mindset with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach

• Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities

• High level of accountability and ownership over results

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges

• Competitive drive with a commitment to continuous improvement

• Demonstrates integrity and fosters honest communication

• Ability to build and sustain a high-performance, engaging team culture

Summary of Compensation:

The Associate Director role offers a highly competitive total compensation package, with typical annual earnings ranging from $120,000 to $270,000+. Compensation includes a base salary combined with monthly performance-based bonuses tied to market results. With an uncapped bonus structure, high performers have significant opportunity to exceed target earnings.
