Lodi Veterinary Care is looking for motivated students who want to advance their skills while assisting our Livestock doctors on the weekends. We are looking to hire pre-veterinary or 1st year veterinary students for our Weekend Assistant Position. Duties include assisting our Veterinarians with in-clinic hospitalized patients, vaccinations, deworming, castrations, semen evaluations, and other Livestock related services. In addition to valuable livestock experience, your job responsibilities include Livestock & Equine barn chores Saturday AM/PM and Sunday AM/PM, cleaning stalls, sterilizing surgery packs, and other tasks.  Students are required to work a rotation every 3rd or 4th weekend regardless if the weekend falls on a holiday. The weekend shift begins on Saturday morning at 7:00am and continues until emergency calls are completed on Saturday afternoon. Barn chores and other listed tasks continue through the weekend.
