Accounts Receivable Specialist (Cork)

 Europe Finance Team

 We’re looking for a proactive and driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team in Cork. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a solid grounding in credit control or AR, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment.

 You'll be joining a close-knit, collaborative team of three within the larger Finance function, reporting directly to the AR Manager for Europe.  In this role you won’t just be processing transactions , you’ll play an active part in managing customer relationships, resolving issues, and supporting the business by ensuring timely cash collection and strong credit control.

 This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work a minimum of 2 days per week in our Cork office.

 Responsibilities; 

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and reducing overdue balances
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices and work closely with customers to resolve payment issues
  • Investigate and resolve account queries in partnership with Sales and internal teams
  • Allocate customer payments and ensure account balances remain accurate
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
  • Perform month-end and quarter end reporting tasks
  • Help identify risks and escalate concerns where needed
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and drive efficiencies across the team
  • Onboard and set up new customer accounts in line with documented procedures
  • Adherence at all times to documented procedures
  • Curiosity about emerging tools and technologies, including AI, and how they can improve day-to-day workflows

What you’ll bring; 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable preferably in a multinational environment
  • A proactive, problem solving mindset with the confidence to take ownership of tasks
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong Excel skills for example v-lookup and pivot tables
  • The ability to read and understand financial statements
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
