Team/Role Overview

The Product Strat & Plan Analyst is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.
 

What you'll do

  • The Product Strategy & Planning Senior Analyst is a developing professional role that assists in a comprehensive product marketing cycle which may include identification of market potential, establishing of pricing and market strategies, estimates of potential sales, introduction to market, distribution/channel issues, and definition of promotional activities and management of product through phase-out

  • Evaluates variable business issues with business impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information

  • Leverages analytical skills and thinking of data analysis tools and methodologies to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources

  • Contributes to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function

  • Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area, coordinate and contributes to the objectives of the function and overall business

  • Manages most problems independently and has latitude to solve complex problems

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


What we'll need from you

  • Relevant experience

  • Knowledge of financial services industry

  • Strategic mindset that closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business

  • Knowledge of partner management, business development, and planning

  • Ability to make judgments and offer solutions based on analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives

  • Analytical ability with interpretive thinking will be required

  • Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution for complicated and/or unique situations

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to develop materials including presentations for senior leadership

  • Extremely high level of attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with leaders across the organization

  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize within tight deadlines

  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a high degree of collaboration with cross functional teams

  • Ability to influence broadly and think outside the box

  • An influencer who communicates clearly and frequently to both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
