Director – Individual Contributor Compliance Technology

The Purpose of This Role

Fidelity’s Asset Management Technology Division is seeking a Individual Contributor Director for Compliance Technology Team. This is a core hands-on software engineering role working on the distributed system, where the system performance is of utmost important to support the stringent SLAs of the trading need.

The Value You Deliver

  • Providing the technical and engineering depth
  • Applying analytical concepts to support investment needs and develop new solutions
  • Adding scale, rigor, and repeatability to this function through software development standard methodologies
  • Assisting the partners to integrate the compliance interface in the optimum fashion to avoid handshaking issues
  • Working closely with the Business partners to understand the requirement and translates it to the working prototype for the faster concept validation.

The Skills that are Key to this role

  • Full-stack software development knowledge and critical thinking skills to design optimal solutions for computing
  • Strong software engineering skills, Java is a must, Core, multi-threading, preferably including PL/SQL, and AWS. Scala knowledge will be of an added advantage.
  • You are ability to communicate effectively with multiple partners, including business and technology partners

Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. AMT is an integral partner for Asset Management to deliver innovative, scalable, industry-leading investment tools that enable Asset Management to achieve competitive advantage globally.

This role is within the Compliance Technology team and requires partnership with the advisor facing investment teams on various Trading and Portfolio Management capabilities and building a modernized compliance trading interface. You will build high quality, robust, and efficient solutions that will be used to ensure the trades are compliant.

This role impacts the organization by improving the quality and time-to-market of Compliance checks on the trade. The assignments will include gathering the ideas, conceptualizing them through a programming language, and creating a packaged solution that can be used by the investment teams.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s / master’s in computer science or equivalent Engineering
  • Over 15 years of professional development and design experience

Location : Bangalore - Manyata/EGL

Shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm
