JOB PURPOSE

The HNW Chief Partnership Officer is responsible for driving sales growth in the High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) segments through across all our distribution channels, while establishing a unified HNW partnership team covering both Asia and the upcoming DIFC office in the Middle East. This role is accountable for driving organic business growth as well as helping grow other revenue streams in the future e.g. penetrate the Middle East market, grow family offices business etc. Additionally, this role will ensure efficient and effective case management and serve as a brand ambassador for Sun Life. The officer will promote Sun Life as a preferred partner through online channels and by representing the company at in-person events with key stakeholders.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Deliver on the business plan sales targets by identifying new alliances and partnerships in Asia to drive substantial growth.

Build strong professional relationships with brokers, private banks, other distribution partners, and industry leaders to elevate the company's profile and influence in the region. Ensure projection of a unified face of Sun Life in front of our partners.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of U/HNW business dynamics including client needs, insurance propositions, distribution models and Sun Life's product portfolio to provide insights to partners and internal stakeholders, while staying informed on competitor offerings and market trends.

Partner with various internal teams to support an exceptional broker experience while attracting, retaining, and developing a high-performance team that aligns with Sun Life values and BOLDER behaviors.

Enhance broker experience by designing and implementing comprehensive training programs and simultaneously overseeing and optimizing support services across diverse HNW distribution channels to position Sun Life as a 'Partner of Choice

Oversee and drive brand marketing initiatives for the HNW segment, including website content, LinkedIn presence, event planning, and broker newsletters, to enhance Sun Life's visibility and reputation in the market. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels, excluding direct product marketing.

Provide thought leadership, strategic market insights as a member of the HNW executive committee.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS 

1.       Residency in Singapore with willingness and ability to travel frequently to Hong Kong and other international locations as needed.

2.       Minimum 15 years' experience in life insurance or financial services, with at least 5 years in senior business roles, particularly in HNW and UHNW segments

3.       Demonstrated success in achieving ambitious sales targets and driving revenue growth through broker channels and strategic partnerships, leveraging strong relationship-building skills to cultivate and maintain key connections across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

4.       Has applied deep knowledge and understanding of HNW product portfolios and competitor offerings to provide strategic insights and valuable market feedback to both internal and external stakeholders.

5.       Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performance teams across multiple regions, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

6.       Strong presentation and public speaking skills, including experience representing organizations at high-profile industry events and conferences.

7.       Experience in brand marketing for high-net-worth segments, including digital presence, events, and content creation. Ability to collaborate with marketing teams on brand messaging.

8.       Deep understanding of business practices in key markets, particularly Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bermuda, coupled with exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to influence senior levels in a multicultural environment.

9.       Fluent in English. Proficiency in Asian languages such as Mandarin and/or Cantonese is advantageous.

10.    Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and adapt to a global business environment.
