Job Summary: The Clinical Program Quality Coordinator is responsible for promoting compliance with regulatory, accreditation and certification requirements applicable to the Clinical Program. This position is accountable for ensuring accurate data collection occurs and informative data analysis to guide the Program's performance improvement. The Clincal Program Quality Coordinator collaborates with the Program's physician champion and serves as the program facilitator. As a member of the hospital's Quality Division, this position collaborates with Hospital Leadership and Team Members to achieve Hospital and System Quality Goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Facilitates the Clinical Program to create an environment for goal attainment. - Serves as subject matter expert for the Programs requirements and outcomes. - Remains current in best practices and disease treatment and management based on clinical program. - Collaborates with the physician champion(s) to facilitate action oriented program committees. - Participates in system committees and service line meetings. Ensures accurate data collection and submission - Uses the Programs definitions and guidelines for data abstraction. - Abstracts Program specific data accurately and enters into the appropriate Programs database. - Establishes work flow and manages time to ensure patient abstraction is current. - Complies with data submission requirements and time lines. - Actively reports near miss, great catch, or actual patient safety events. Leads the Clinical Programs performance improvement efforts - Analyzes data to provide information. - Prepares reports that can stand alone and tell the story. - Utilizes performance improvement methodology appropriate to the goal. - Collaborates with Hospital and System Performance Improvement Specialist. - Seeks opportunities for professional learning and growth in the field of Quality and Patient Safety. Oversees the Hospital and Clinical Programs accreditation or certification efforts - Serves as subject matter expert for the Programs accreditating or certifiying body. - Collaborates with the Hospital and System Accreditation Coordinators. - Assumes an active role in ensuring the Clinical Programs compliance. - Prepares required accreditation or certification reports and documents. - Supervises all surveys related to the clinical program. - Participates in the Hospitals survey readiness program. Required Minimum Education: Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
  • Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
  • Cert Prof Healthcare Quality-Preferred
Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 3 years clinical experience Required or Experience in a Quality Professional role Preferred Required Minimum Skills: Ability to develop collaborative relationships and effectively execute the Clinical Programs goals and objectives. Must possess understanding of team dynamics. Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and time management. Must have the ability to work independently and maintain focus on goal attainment.
