Job Summary

Responsible for the collection of Clinical Quality Measure Indicator information from patient medical records and entering the information into the required data collection tools and databases, accurately and in a timely fashion.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates the ability to collect specific clinical data elements from medical records and enters these data electronically into a database.
• Utilizes critical thinking in abstracting clinical data.
• Enters clinical data accurately by the communicated deadlines.
• Keeps current on changes relative to national data initiatives.
• Corrects vendor data errors in a timely manner.
• Provides feedback regarding vendor issues.
• Identifies opportunities for data collection process improvement.
• All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required:
Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
Certification - Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred:
Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing

Experience - 3+ years of Acute Experience; 3+ years of Data Analyst Experience

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
