Position Summary:
The Senior/Executive Medical Director will work closely with the SVP, Head of Clinical Development to lead and implement clinical strategies for one or more development programs. This includes leading the direction, planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials while maintaining patient safety and data integrity. 

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Execute clinical development plans aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements. 
•    Responsible for design and execution of clinical studies.
•    Responsible for the analysis and interpretation clinical study results.
•    Establish and foster productive collaborations with clinical investigators and KOLs. 
•    Lead the design, implementation, and management of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. 
•    Lead and/or collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of clinical studies. 
•    Lead KOL interactions and advisory boards. 
•    Participate in interactions with regulatory authorities.
•    Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and contributes to the preparation of regulatory submissions (IND, NDA, etc.). 
•    Present scientific information (clinical trial design, study data, clinical development strategy, etc.) to internal and external stakeholders.
•    May supervise, coach, mentor, and hire staff as appropriate.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    5+ years of combined experience in clinical oncology, oncology drug development, and/or translational medicine. 
•    Experience successfully advancing small molecule drugs from preclinical to clinical.
•    In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements governing drug development.
•    Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional environment and drive outcomes.
•    Must be solution oriented with demonstrated skills to innovate, solve problems, and foster a collaborative working environment.
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education:
•    Medical Doctor (M.D.) with strong scientific and clinical background in oncology or related field. 

Travel:
•    Ability to travel ~20%, occasionally more.

 

* The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in South San Francisco, CA is $340,000 to $360,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Terremoto Biosciences, is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
