What this job involves

• Develop and implement workplace safety policies, programs, and procedures
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing recommendations for
• corrective actions
• Conduct safety training sessions for employees to emphasizing adherence to protocols
• Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
• Collaborate with departments to address safety concerns and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, making recommendations as needed
• Support the Safety Officer in emergency response planning and drills
• Assist in maintaining safety documentation, including manuals and procedures

Sound like you? To apply you will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant degree/certification in safety management preferred
• Proven experience in a similar role, strong understanding of safety regulations/standards
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), effective at all organizational levels
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize effectively, handle multiple tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and positive attitude towards safety
• Candidates with less experience considered for Safety Supervisor role
