SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor has the general responsibility of coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis.

Compensation: The salary for this role is 69,437 annually

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Operations Manager and/or General Manager the Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Must perform monthly process and safety audits.

Shipping/Receiving

Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipment in accordance with the required levels of productivity. Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all products are properly counted.

Quality

Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

Scheduling

Participate in establishing work schedules. Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.

Safety, Sanitation, Security

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety. Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS standards.

Labor Management

Direct the operations of the warehouse work team to achieve prescribed objectives. In collaboration with the Operations Manager and develop and maintain a productive work team by reducing overtime and temporary labor while maintaining a work force that is conscious of both housekeeping and safety.

Housekeeping

Routinely verify that aisle and building audits are performed by warehouse associates.

Create and manage programs to keep tools and equipment in designated areas; schedule cleaning of equipment; store product in neat straight rows inside painted perimeters.

Inventory Management:

Help ensure current and accurate inventory control through the managing of shipping and receiving guidelines

Other Duties

Other duties or responsibilities as requested by Management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (IF ANY)

Ensure work instructions and equipment operations are followed.

Ensure compliance of policies and procedures.  

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)

Effective communication and problem solving skills are necessary. Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and pay strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. Effective management and supervisory skills are required in addition to warehousing experience.

Education and/or Experience

College Degree Preferred

1-3 years experience

Mathematical Skills

Intermediate

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

None.

The duties of this job are performed in a working distribution center that is not temperature controlled.

Relevant du gestionnaire, le superviseur de la logistique est responsable de superviser, observer et coordonner les opérations logistiques ainsi que de fournir un encadrement, du développement et de la formation aux membres du personnel.  Il doit être capable de fournir des recommandations pour l’amélioration des installations, des équipements, de la machinerie et des processus.  

Responsabilités: 
•  Gérer les déplacements de materiel de production et les flux sortants  de tout les arrimages d'une manière efficace selon des paramètres prédéterminés, tout en réagissant aux exceptions de logistique au jour le jour
•  Rencontrer régulièrement l'équipe centrale d'ingénierie et de logistique, pour revoir les exigences actuelles et le rendement courant des objectifs d'utilisation cubique ainsi que pour réviser et  développer les besoins futurs en logistique selon les exigences des clients.
•  S'assurer de la conformité des transporteurs à un ensemble donné de paramètres, mener des investigations OS & D, gérer le processus de réclamation des transporteurs
•  Fournir des rapport réguliers en temps opportun et responsable des indicateurs de rendement clés (IRC) de l'emplacement
•  Planifier, mener et réviser des audits de santé/sécurité et d'utilisation cubique, en s'assurant que tous les paramètres sont remplis et que les initiatives d'amélioration continue sont suivies

Exigences:
H.S. diplôme/GED requis
Un (1) an ou plus d'expérience dans le domaine du transport, de l'entrepôt ou de la distribution, de préférence
0 à un (1) an d'expérience directe en supervision / leadership requise
