Hitachi Energy is currently looking for Operations Manager for Product Line Power Transformers (PT) in HUB Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa (APMEA). Locations: Vietnam, Türkiye, Thailand, India. The ideal candidate

Mission statement:

Including health & safety on top, ensure efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, project management and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level) with the responsibility of across multiple countries in HUB APMEA PL PT. This position will be reporting to Product Line Lead, PT.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will develop programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations in the countries where responsible. 

  • You will collaborate with Operations Strategy Development function to implement world-class processes as well as CAPEX plans in the units and drive synergies among units.

  • You will involve in owns costs & performance in the factories to deliver revenue gross margin in line with order gross margin and improve output of the units.

  • You will drive execution excellence in the factories by overseeing production process, manage resources efficiently and implement best practice to meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost (SQDIC) target.

  • You will participate in setting annual operation budget, oversee progress, and determine actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.

  • You will provide support to the units to solve the issues with the customer and deliver strong S&OP process and professional project management across the value chain.

  • You will ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed and guide, motivate, develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Your background:

  • You hold bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field (master’s degree is a plus).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Management, preferably in operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and deliver results in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Proven track record of success in driving operational excellence.

  • Strong customer management skills.

  • Must be flexible to accommodate business requirements and experience in working with diverse groups and cultures.

  • The ability to multitask & delivers within timelines is essential.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
