Job Description Summary
As a Service Technician on our Digital Dentistry team you will be responsible for ensuring that customer’s on-site dental specialized equipment is operating properly. Work mainly focuses on the installation and configuration of specialized equipment such as Cad/Cam, intra-oral scanners and chairside milling machines as well as other technologies within the Digital Dentistry portfolio. Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a high level of client service by:
Responding promptly to service requests
Following through on commitments to customers and internal colleagues
Listening to customer issues
Communicating client service information with the Sales Representatives and Service Manager
Maintaining appropriate tools, supplies and parts within vehicle
Maintain client equipment by:
Installing and configuring specialized equipment such as Cad/Cam, intra-oral scanners and chairside milling machines
Formulating recommendations, propose improvements and solutions on various digital and high-tech equipment
Documenting equipment issues and completed repairs
Supports new equipment installations by
Providing follow up support within committed timelines
Verifying equipment is set to manufacturer’s specifications
Selling maintenance contracts
Provides training support for imaging for positioning and troubleshooting.
Health and Safety
Ensures a safe work environment by understanding and following safety procedures and reporting injuries or unsafe acts.
Experience & Education
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the IT field
Expertise with Windows platforms; Windows Server, Domains, Active Directory, Terminal Server and Virtual machine technology, and protocols (TCP/IP) is required
Excellent customer service skills
Aptitude for problem solving
Able to prioritize and organize work schedule with limited supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Requirements
Valid Canadian driver’s license and a good driving record
This position requires daily traveling within Edmonton and the surrounding areas
Some travel across the province may be required
Able to lift heavy equipment (25-30 lbs)
The anticipated salary range for this position:
