Position Description

As a Senior Developer for Microsoft Dynamics GP, you will be a key member of our Applications Development Dynamics GP team and will have a high level of general IT and solutions development knowledge, as well as provide GP and .Net Development consulting services to clients. This role requires programming experience with Dynamics GP (Great Plains), and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be client-focused and team oriented. 

In this role, you will be a valued member of our team with other developers and you will be responsible of all phases of the development lifecycle using a defined project methodology. You will report directly to a Supervisor. This position also requires maintaining ongoing relationships with key Specialty US team contacts. You will be responsible of performing administrative duties as required under the general direction of Project Managers, Managers, and Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop in Microsoft Dynamics GP, including aspects of the core, advanced solutions and industry specific solutions
• Ability to work closely with functional resources to translate user requirements into functional specifications then into technical development
• Perform solution development using Dynamics GP Dexterity, C#, Transact SQL, SSRS
• Create estimates for assigned developments
• Create technical design documents
• Debugging issues and providing solutions
• Perform developer unit testing and quality assurance (QA)
• Provide support of your deliverables
• Report daily progress on development and issue resolution
• Follow the software development lifecycle process, including timely updates to our internal systems

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
• 2+ years practical and technical experience in a Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) development environment 
• Experience with T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) preferably with knowledge of SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages
• ERP experience
• Ability to apply system design and development methodologies
• Good oral and communication skills
• A team player with a sense for initiative
• Ability to learn new business processes or applications quickly
• Demonstrated work ethic and ability to work effectively with people at various levels
• Goal-oriented with an eye for quality
• Fluent in Spanish and English (Excellent English writing and speaking skills)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 + years of GP development using Dexterity
• Understanding of some of the more complex technical topics in Microsoft Dynamics 365 
• Experience in successful implementations with one or more applications of Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Experience with Source Code Control
• Systems Integration - Understanding of applied concepts
• Experience using Visual Studio development with GP (Visual Studio Tools for GP, eConnect integrations, and/or web service integrations)
• Experience with C# development
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience with SmartConnect and/or eConnect
