The Project Coordinator provides administrative and project management support for capital and operational projects managed by the Energy & Utilities department. This is a part-time position (20–30 hours/week) with a primarily remote schedule; occasional on-campus presence is required for site visits and project walkthroughs.
Duties/Responsibilities
Coordinate project schedules, track milestones, and maintain project status documentation across active Energy & Utilities capital projects
Manage project documentation including design drawings, specifications, contracts, permits, and correspondence; maintain organized project files through closeout and archiving
Support building permit applications and coordinate with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) as needed
Track project budgets; prepare and submit purchase orders, invoices, and change orders for approval in accordance with USNH purchasing procedures
Communicate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and university stakeholders on project status, scheduling, and deliverables
Support procurement activities including vendor coordination and contract administration
Assist with project closeout including collection of as-built documentation, warranties, and final permit sign-offs
Attend periodic on-campus site visits and project meetings as required
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of experience in project coordination or construction/facilities project management
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or utility infrastructure projects
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a higher education or public institution setting
Familiarity with USNH or similar public purchasing and procurement procedures

$35/hr
