Product Owner – Treasury Business Change & Technology

As a Product Owner within the Treasury Business Change & Technology team, you will play a critical role in driving strategic change initiatives that support Group Treasury’s products, systems and operating models. You will partner with business, technology and project teams to deliver technology and process improvements that enhance Treasury capabilities, optimise outcomes and support the bank's broader strategic objectives. 

This role sits within Group Treasury, responsible for managing the Group's balance sheet, funding, liquidity and market risks. You'll work at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring Treasury requirements are effectively translated into successful solutions while championing change across a complex stakeholder landscape. 

 

Key responsibilities

• Act as Product Owner for Treasury change initiatives, ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, prioritised and delivered.
• Partner with Treasury business teams, technology teams and project stakeholders to deliver strategic change outcomes.
• Represent Group Treasury as a subject matter expert across Treasury-led and enterprise-wide projects.
• Drive business and technology change initiatives from inception through to implementation and adoption.
• Lead and contribute to solution design, requirements gathering, process improvement and delivery activities.
• Support project lifecycle activities including business analysis, testing, migration planning, defect management and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Identify, manage and escalate risks, dependencies and issues throughout delivery.
• Deliver clear and effective communication to stakeholders regarding project progress, impacts and outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of strategic solutions that improve Treasury processes, productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Promote strong governance practices and lead change through collaboration, influence and continuous improvement.
• Champion Agile ways of working and support the adoption of modern delivery practices across Treasury. 
   

What you'll bring

• Significant experience within Financial Services, Treasury, Professional Services or a related environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading business and technology change initiatives, preferably within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong Product Owner, Business Analysis, Agile Delivery or Project Management experience.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology and process solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business, risk, finance, operations and technology teams.
• Experience working with Treasury products, funding, liquidity management, transfer pricing, financial markets or related domains.
• Knowledge of Treasury platforms such as Murex, Calypso, WSS or similar financial systems will be highly regarded.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and facilitation skills.
• Commercial mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering customer and business value.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a structured, fast-paced environment.
• Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Systems or a related discipline.
