Job Description

The Talent & Development Community of Expertise Leader provides strategic vision and operational leadership for progressive talent and development strategies that accelerate organizational performance and align with DPR’s People Practices (PP) operating model. This role drives impactful talent and development programs to enhance proficiency, career and succession planning, and talent acquisition and retention. The leader oversees talent acquisition, performance and talent management, succession planning, learning, and leadership development, ensuring an exceptional employee and candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and develop talent and development solutions aligned with organizational and People Practices strategy; collaborate with Operational Services Leads, People Practices Leaders, and other workgroups to ensure seamless adoption and communication.

  • Develop and strengthen a network, internally and externally, to place the industry’s best talent into the right roles at the right time, supporting DPR’s growth strategy and top talent development.

  • Develop and implement analytics tools and dashboards to provide insights into talent acquisition, performance, and succession planning; use data to support strategic decision-making.

  • Leverage forecasting, scenario planning, and competition benchmarking data to create and evaluate strategy, ensuring a progressive and influential talent and development experience for employees.

  • Oversee vendor relationships, performance, and contracts related to People Practices services; ensure vendors deliver high-quality services that align with organizational objectives.

  • Partner with People Practices Leaders and executives on strategic initiatives in benefits, retirement, compensation, shareholder incentives, analytics, and vendor management; influence organizational change through innovative solutions and analytics.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team focused on employee and candidate experience, scalable and agile talent acquisition, diversity hiring, pay transparency compliance, and vendor management; foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning; hold accountability for team performance, development, and succession planning.

  • Ensure all vendor contracts and practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements, identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Communicate strategic initiatives, analytics, and competition benchmarking insights to stakeholders at all levels; prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Subject matter expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, college recruiting, and succession management.

  • 12+ years of experience in human resources, finance, business planning, or a related field required.

  • 5+ years of managerial experience in construction or a related field required.

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management and contract negotiation required.

  • Strong aptitude for developing, guiding, and mentoring others.

Certifications

  • Human Resources certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-S/CP, S/PHR).

Work Environment

  • Standard office environment (inside conditions).

  • Frequent sitting, talking, and repetitive motions (67–100%).

Anticipated starting pay range:

$235,000.00- $325,000.00
