Operations Business Partner
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Operations acts as the business partner for our worldwide Professional Services organization and is responsible for business planning, workforce planning, analysis, business performances improvement, optimization of internal processes, driving initiatives and projects, project staffing, and is contact for all financial matters. Through an effective reporting and goal-oriented advice we contribute to the success of our organization and act as the business partner of the management team.
Main RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and drive with business leaders to review, validate, and manage financial and operational forecasts, including cost, revenue, and resource planning
- Identifies and actively partners with Services Management to better control business levers as appropriate (e.g. KPI´s, accruals, policies, headcount, etc.)
- Actively supports Revenue Recognition Process by informing stakeholders, as well ensuring execution on actions.
- Serves as a common interface to local finance team for escalation items
- Manages and partners with the Geo Lead on yearly budgeting process by collecting and consolidating Plan data, preparing tools used during planning process, providing recommendations, as well as preparing historical analysis
- Defines and creates functional processes and procedures to ensure consistent structure and cross-functional alignment across the respective businesses
- Interprets and relates financial and operation metrics to business performance
- Informs and communicates to Services Management regarding variances from budget / forecast or historical trend
- Review, Report & Consolidate Bookings, Revenue and Expense Forecast for Services Management within the established cadence
- Liaises with Finance organization to establish, review and, if required, adjust direct expense forecast
- Verifies that expense forecasts are aligned with revenue forecasts from the field, ensuring all projections are logically tied together, consistent, and support overall business objectives.
- Completes projects that are identified and defined in collaboration with senior management
- Identifies system enhancements and reporting improvements; SMEs will participate in related projects as required
- Collaborates with Senior Management to define processes to address identified gaps and exposure (e.g. Systems, processes, efficiencies). Will owns execution and or participate in execution of identified processes
- Supports and oversees Billing Readiness process
- Manage a team of 4-6 individual contributors
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in Finance or related field
- 5-7 years’ work experience in reporting, process improvement role
- Fluent English speaker
- Highly proficient in all MS Office products
- Typically works with minimal supervision/guidance
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills and a drive for results
- Strong commitment to numbers accuracy
- Capacity to learn fast and understand complex business situations
- Works effectively in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and is comfortable with multi-tasking
- Identifies problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations; generates possible solutions, assesses each using standard procedures and makes a sound decision.
- Understands the key business drivers relating to own area; uses this knowledge to focus own work.
- Ability to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, understand the fundamentals of contracting including offer, acceptance, consideration and intent to create a legal relationship
- Utilizes strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically with financial and business acumen skills operations, and subcontracts managers.
- Willingness to work across time zones and adapt to global team dynamics
