A Day in the Life

Seeking for an experienced IT Architect specializing in enterprise Master Data Management solutions, driving trusted and governed data across customer, product, and supplier domains. Leads MDM architecture strategy, platform design, data governance frameworks, and system integrations to enable a unified “golden record” and high data quality standards. Partners with business and enterprise architecture teams to deliver scalable, cloud-enabled MDM solutions aligned with digital transformation and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Architecture & Strategy

• Define and own the enterprise MDM architecture roadmap aligned with business and data strategy.
• Design scalable, secure, and cloud-ready MDM solutions across customer, product, supplier, and reference data domains.
• Establish integration patterns between MDM, ERP, CRM, Data Warehouse, and downstream applications.

Data Governance & Quality

• Design and implement data governance frameworks including stewardship models, approval workflows, and ownership structures.
• Define data quality rules, survivorship logic, matching/merging strategies, and golden record creation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy standards.

Platform & Solution Design

• Lead implementation and optimization of MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, etc.).
• Develop canonical data models, API strategies, and event-driven architectures.
• Drive metadata management, lineage tracking, and reference data standardization.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with business stakeholders, data governance councils, enterprise architects, and analytics teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Provide architectural guidance and influence enterprise data standards.

Delivery & Leadership

• Provide technical leadership to MDM developers and data engineers.
• Review solution designs, conduct architecture governance, and ensure best practices.
• Mentor teams and promote innovation in data management and automation.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Evaluate emerging technologies in MDM, AI-driven data management, and cloud data platforms.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and operational efficiency of MDM systems.
• Drive automation in data validation, monitoring, and stewardship workflows.
• Defines, describes, diagrams and documents the role and interaction of the high-level technological and human components that combine to provide cost effective and innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs.
• Promotes, guides and governs good architectural practice through the application of well-defined, proven technology and human interaction patterns and through architecture mentorship.
• Supports the full lifecycle management of the entire IT portfolio including the selection, appropriate usage, enhancement and replacement of information technology applications, infrastructure and services.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

• 8+ years of IT experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Master Data Management (MDM).
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead the development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines.
• Participate in integration design activities working with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and peer Team Members.
• Understanding on integration technologies, middleware platforms, integration design patterns, messaging frameworks, and API management, ETL tools, data transformation techniques and ESB frameworks.
• Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements.
• Experience working with Real Time & Near Real Time integrations, including Message Oriented based message handling techniques.
• Experience with Cloud technology AWS EC2 instances and understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platform/Applications.
• Experience /Knowledge in designing CI/CD solutions (Git/Jenkins).
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake, DB2 and MS SQL Server.
