THE ROLE

Join the Monetization Strategy and Deals (MSD) team as our EMEA Director to lead a team of deal analysts and architects for our largest and most complex transactions, driving significant bookings and profitable revenue growth. This team plays a leading role in Pure’s commercial positioning and leads the creation of innovative pricing and deal structures. You will be acting as the primary business partner to Global Go-to-Market (GTM) leadership. This role delivers on a unique blend of strategic financial modeling and high-stakes operational execution, requiring you to bridge Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product to close game-changing deals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead End-to-End Deal Strategy: Lead a team of Deal Strategists to analyse commercial positioning and drive decision making on pricing and commercial agreements. This includes leadership and guidance to model, and creatively structure non-standard, high-value enterprise deals, ensuring optimization of opportunity while managing financial risk and maintaining corporate compliance.
• Drive Profitability and Growth: Drive excellence in Monetization support for major pursuits, development of holistic business cases and ensure articulation of the full value proposition of diverse deal structures to key customer and GTM stakeholders.
• Innovate Business Models: Proactively identify common deal patterns, ensure in-depth market/competitor analysis, and own a data centric approach that translates insights into actionable pricing and monetization strategies to expand market share and accelerate business model transformation.
• Facilitate Cross-Functional Execution: Orchestrate time-sensitive decisions among Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams, troubleshoot issues, manage forward deal momentum, and drive continuous improvement in deal process efficiency.
• Elevate Deal Intelligence: Champion best practices, lead knowledge sharing across the team as well as the global organization, and communicate clear, structured deal solutions and thought leadership to executive stakeholders.
• Build Scale and Efficiency: Ongoing critical review of ways of working and ongoing innovation to drive increasing levels of scale and efficiency into the team making use of effective prioritisation and technology tools including but not limited to AI
• People Management: Support the team to make them successful, performance management and identification of strengths and areas for improvement for individual team members. Help the team to build their careers with Pure
• Trusted Business Partner to the EMEA Sales GM and of other cross-functional Leadership stakeholders

WHAT YOU BRING

• Advanced Deal Structuring & Financial Acumen: 12+ years of operational experience in functions like Strategy, Business Development, or Deal Desk at a technology firm. Demonstrated mastery in formulating complex business cases, financial modeling, and structuring high-value transactions.
• Strategic Storytelling with Data: Proven ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives and executive-level presentations that drive decision-making and articulate value to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ownership and Leadership: Strong sense of accountability and a self-starting, analytical mindset capable of thriving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments to rapidly create solutions and manage critical deal escalations.
• Commercial & Business Model Knowledge: Deep understanding of how business model decisions impact the operating model and the ability to creatively structure solutions that align a customer's financial objectives with company growth goals.
• Data driven Approach: Use data to understand business challenges, create solutions and lead discussions. Foster data as a critical part of the toolkit in the operations and efficiency of the team
• Interpersonal and Leadership skills: A natural ability to liaise and communicate with people at different levels, in different functions and from different parts of the works and a clear leadership mentality both for the team and the wider organisation. Effective manager that brings the team to the highest level of success
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from our Staines, UK EMEA HQ office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
