Role

We are looking for Software Engineers who are motivated and passionate and willing to enhance Cohesity’s Products and by working on improvements, features, tools, scripts that will make it easy to sell, deploy and maintain. You are not only a Software Engineer who designs and implement features but should have knack of diagnosing problems in large bodies of complex code, understand scalability and performance and work on fixes with rapid turnaround time and high quality. You will be part of our Engineering team and willing to work with Product Managers and more importantly with Customer Support, System Engineers and Customers.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the “Cohesity Data Management as-a-service”
  • Perform in-depth root cause analysis, implement code fixes to resolve product defects/issues and roll them across the fleet
  • Understand the blast radius of the problem and quickly rollout fixes for fleet wide issues
  • Continuously evolve and add new metrics at a dataplane level to better understand the fleet health.
  • Code and Implement improvements as you see what affects the stability of the service.
  • Deep dive into analyzing, troubleshooting and fixing the issues with rapid delivery of the solution.
  • Collaborate with Team members, Support, Dev, CloudOps and Field teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex customer issues and orchestrate development and testing of patches/hot-fixes.
  • You will mentor the team- on writing maintainable code.
  • Design and implement tools to help support engineers diagnose problems thereby reducing time to resolution.

Requirements:

  • You bring 5+years of experience in developing and troubleshooting large scalable distributed systems written in C/C++ on Linux and Windows Platforms.
  • Strong coding, analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills including use of tools such GDB, Python Debugger.
  • Problem-solver who can dive deep to solve complex problems/issues.
  • Bring good testing methodologies and passion for building quality products.
  • Experience in developing, sustaining and maintenance of enterprise software.
  • Looking for great communication skills.
  • Understanding of hyper-converged storage systems architecture is a big plus.
