Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible to fulfill a contractual agreement between the Columbus Crew Academy and OhioHealth. The Academy Assistant Athletic Trainer is the healthcare provider who will help manage the day-to-day sports medicine operations for academy players of Columbus Crew SC through a contract with OhioHealth. The academy athletic trainer applies scientific knowledge to provide injury prevention strategies, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. The academy athletic trainer will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary performance team creating world-class experience. This individual will work under the direction of the OhioHealth Sports Medicine Manager as well as the Crew 2 Head Athletic Trainer and Chief Medical Office (CMO) of the club. Duties include providing medical care to academy players, designing and implementing injury prevention strategies, developing treatment and rehabilitation protocols, keeping up to date medical records, and communication to coaches, sports performance team, and other key Club stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Athletic Training (Required)ATC - Athletic Trainer Credential - Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer, LIC - Licensed in Field - State of Ohio

Additional Job Description:

Licensed in Ohio by the OT/PT/AT Board as a certified athletic trainer. Prefer experience in sport related training and professional setting.
