Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)
We are part of Walmart’s Marketing and Advertising Technology organization, driving innovation within the Digital Marketing portfolio. Our team focuses on establishing and scaling best practices in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). We build and maintain critical microservices, data engineering pipelines, and customer-facing solutions that consistently increase Walmart’s SEO share of voice. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack solutions that drive Walmart’s SEO strategy. You’ll work across customer-facing systems, high-volume microservices, and data pipelines to deliver highly scalable and efficient solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure our services are reliable, performant, and meet business requirements.
What You’ll Do
Design and implement scalable microservices, presentation services, and data engineering pipelines.
Work with technologies like GraphQL, Spring Boot, Java, Scala, Spark, and Big Data to build robust solutions.
Develop customer-facing components and orchestrate backend services for SEO platforms.
Build and enhance reporting pipelines and presentation layers for large-scale data processing.
Work closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and high performance of services.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the technical direction of key systems.
Break down complex problems into simpler components and build solutions that are maintainable and scalable.
Implement continuous improvements in CI/CD pipelines, performance testing, and test automation suites.
Explore new technologies and tools to optimize the performance of services across cloud environments.
Apply best practices in code quality, testing, security, and performance optimization.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Conduct performance testing and ensure the system scales under high traffic conditions.
Support code deployment and operations in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with a strong focus on backend services and data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with technologies like Java, Scala, Spark, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Big Data, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and large-scale data engineering.
Experience with CI/CD, test automation, performance testing, and cloud-native environments.
Ability to build high-volume, customer-facing applications with a focus on performance and reliability.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,750.00-$181,250.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
