Wight & Company, an award-winning, integrated architecture, engineering, and construction firm with offices in Chicago and Darien, Illinois, has an immediate opportunity in our Darien office for an accounting professional who is interested in an environment that’s fun, fast-paced, and rewarding.  We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team in our Darien location!

Responsibilities:

  • Project accounting for multiple Architecture, Engineering and Construction projects
  • Support Project Managers in maintaining budgets and providing timely financial reports
  • Maintain project-related records, including setup in system, contracts and change orders
  • Billing/invoicing clients
  • Processing project related payables and receivables.
  • Cost reporting.
  • Administrative/clerical duties as required

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 0-3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook is a must.
  • Knowledge of CMiC software is a plus but not required.
  • A sense of humor.

Strong technology skills are critical, particularly expertise with Microsoft Excel.
