Sr. Analyst – Promotional Planning, Market Division
Role Mandate
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Promotional Planning, the Senior Analyst will join the Promotion Planning team to support flyer and strategy planning, flyer review, promotional execution, and process optimization across the Market Division.
This role combines promotional planning expertise with strong technical and analytical capabilities. The Senior Analyst will support the achievement of promotional investment targets by using data, automation, and business insights to guide banner-specific flyer programs, PC Optimum initiatives, vendor partner advertising, and core promotional activity across print and digital channels.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of promotional planning processes. This includes identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, enhancing reporting capabilities, improving data quality, and supporting business change initiatives that simplify how promotional programs are planned, reviewed, and executed.
As part of a cross-functional team, the Senior Analyst will leverage data science concepts, analytics tools, and structured problem-solving to identify business opportunities and integrate solutions into core merchandising and promotional planning processes. Areas of focus may include promotional performance analysis, price elasticity and optimization, assortment optimization, customer segmentation, loyalty offer targeting, portfolio management, flyer space optimization, and process automation.
The ideal candidate is technically curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets, business systems, and cross-functional stakeholders. They are passionate about using data-driven insights, automation, and continuous improvement to support strategic decision-making and deliver measurable business results.
