This is a fully remote position and can be located anywhere in the US.

Position Purpose: Responsible for supporting with the strategic sourcing of goods and services and effective management of vendors with a focus on ensuring compliance with state and federal flow-down requirements. Manage vendor relationships, evaluate vendor performance and effectively manage contract requirements. Mitigate compliance, legal, and financial risk through effective contract formulation and negotiation.

  • Lead a high-performing team responsible for executing a high volume of state and federal flow-down requirements to third-party vendors
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to establish, refine, and implement flow-down requirements and related organizational processes
  • Monitor contract compliance and resolve vendor issues
  • Develop vendor contracts in coordination with internal and external legal departments
  • Develop and implement contract and negotiation strategies for strategic suppliers
  • Leverage corporate-wide spending to reduce costs and reduce supplier base
  • Manage off-contract spending by migrating spend to approved suppliers
  • Lead cross-functional teams on process improvement and compliance-related initiatives
  • Oversee task delegation, leadership reporting, and project management for a high volume of transactional requests

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of procurement experience preferably in healthcare, pharmaceuticals or related industry. Experience in competitive bidding processes and techniques, negotiating complex transactions, contract terms and conditions, and total cost analysis. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, preferably PeopleSoft/Hyperion and ePRO. Experience with formal vendor management programs and working knowledge of procurement law and specific legal risks associated with procurement practices and contract language. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff.

License/Certification: Certified Procurement Professional preferred.

Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $154,700.00 per year

Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
