Our Cardiometabolic business unit, which is part of the Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics Division, has an opportunity for a Demand Planner in Lake Forest, IL, or other Abbott Global locations.

The Demand Planner manages the demand forecast through coordination among commercial, finance, supply chain, and marketing organizations. Provide monthly demand forecasts in collaboration with the business unit's sales and operations planning process. They are responsible for the demand planning and execution of new product introductions and product retirements. Each month, they are the owners of publishing the demand statement.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish models, databases, and procedures for data assimilation and reporting.
  • Build demand forecast with Sales and Marketing Teams based on assumptions, business trends, and sales pipeline.
  • Generate demand forecasts to serve as the foundation for management approval of the Annual/Quarterly Financial Plans.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot demand-related issues in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate product availability issues to the Marketing Department.
  • Develop routine and ad hoc demand-related reports for management.
  • Responsible for supporting the business unit head in monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and executive meetings.
  • Owner of demand planning monthly KPI performance and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish best practice demand planning processes for the Area’s commercial organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING:

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience working in Demand Planning team.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Demonstrated success with influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience building processes and managing change.
  • Proven analytical/problem solving skills to enable the review of historical sales trends, demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work well in a very open team environment.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize under a tight schedule.
  • Tableau, PowerBI or other visualization tool utilization experience.
  • Demonstrated success working on team projects across multiple business functions.
  • Demonstrated success managing large global business.
  • Experience in negotiation.

The base pay for this position is

$109,300.00 – $218,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
