Now, we are on an unstoppable mission for an Account Director to join our team. The Account Director is a key client service and brand lead, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategic and tactical plans for brands at all stages of the product lifecycle. With experience managing multiple brands and client teams with budgets exceeding $5MM, the AD will lead strategy across diverse audiences (HCP, Patient, Consumer)


The Account Director will oversee overall client management, providing onsite support, a few days a week, for local clients, establishing trusted partnerships by consistently offering strategic guidance and insights on their brands. As the agency lead, the AD will excel in brand plan development, driving this process externally and internally. This role requires autonomy, clear and inspired leadership, and the ability to elevate work through collaboration and decisive action.

What You'll Do 

  • Provide Agency Leadership and Account Management: Ensure brand strategy, messaging, and tactics support brand position and overall objectives.
  • Drive the Agency Team Forward: Ensure clear direction and flawless execution.
  • Delegate Effectively: Foster team skills growth while providing valuable input and direction.
  • Client Communications: Maintain open and frequent client contact: Ensure goals are met and exceed client expectations.
  • Provide Oversight of Multi-channel and Integrated Programs: Optimize work with department leads.
  • Elevate Creative Work: Provide insightful input to creative briefs and outputs.
  • Set Expectations: Direct meetings and presentations to ensure agency objectives are met.
  • Display understanding of competitive and market dynamics: Provide business and brand impact perspective.
  • Identify Brand Building Opportunities: Initiate conversations to grow agency business.
  • Develop Strategic Motivators: Creating slide decks that transform data and strategy into compelling stories that inspire and motivate.
  • Monitor and Discuss Financial Health: Ensure efficient staffing for planned work.

Team Management and Mentorship

  • Lead and Motivate the Account Management Team: Demonstrate a commitment to employee development, including career pathing for direct reports.
  • Guide Team Members: Help mentor team members as they grow their skills – provide training, mentorship, and leadership as needed
  • Hire, coach, and develop team members: Assign projects to balance workloads and challenge team members' skills, ensuring projects showcase the agency's capabilities.
  • Provide Regular Feedback: Offer both formal and informal feedback to direct reports to help grow their creative sensibilities and progress in their craft.
  • Perform Team Evaluations: Participate in performance reviews and provide coaching to create growth plans for direct reports as needed
  • Infuse Psychological Safety into Teams: Facilitating participation, inclusion, and diversity of perspectives on your team and throughout the agency.

What Makes You A Great Fit

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree, 10+ years of account management experience: Advertising agency or senior marketing role in life sciences.
  • Expert in Account Management: Perform all functions proficiently and step in as needed.

Compensation Range: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00. The starting salary offer will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. The company reserves the right to adjust this pay range at any time.
