AOL is a global media and technology company, representing the best of premium content and innovative platforms. Originally known as America Online, we once connected over 35 million people to the internet, becoming a cultural icon and business behemoth. We recognized digital as the future of media and set out to build a network to enable our company—and our users and partners—to capitalize on this new world. We've always had the drive and innovative thinking to mobilize the future. Now, we have the tools, the reach, and the resources to make this future a reality. We just need YOU!

A Little About Us:

The Member Services team is passionate about creating premium value for our consumers to provide elevated experiences across our properties. As a part of the Member Services team, you'll support the product strategy, roadmap and execution end-to-end as we build the next-generation of subscription products, connecting our members with more of the things they love to do online. You'll also work on ecosystem expansion, driving the holistic monetization strategy for our portfolio, with a zealous focus on managing, optimizing and scaling inventory across our properties.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team of business and product owners, designers, and engineers to develop, launch, and maintain scalable applications and services. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional and secure experiences for our members.

Your role will involve writing and managing software for various platforms, from user e-commerce experiences to product marketing, subscription management, post-purchase support, and customer service. You'll also work with cutting-edge generative AI technologies to enhance user experiences. While proficiency in JavaScript and Java is important, your focus will be on applying coding and programming design patterns effectively. You’ll be responsible for developing, orchestrating, and deploying our platforms and applications.

We seek self-starters who thrive with minimal guidance and are experienced in Agile environments with evolving priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll interact with diverse teams. Above all, we value individuals who can prioritize tasks and drive projects to completion efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building robust, scalable applications and services

  • Strong programming skills in Node.js (JavaScript and TypeScript), Java (Spring Framework), and SQL

  • Hands-on experience with AWS

  • Solid understanding of machine learning, including prompt writing and model evaluation

  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools and processes, such as Docker, Jenkins, and GitHub

  • Commitment to continual learning and staying updated with industry standards and trends

  • Excellent communication skills, especially in a collaborative team environment

  • M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience
