We are looking for DevOps Engineer as you with skills and competencies on developing digital technologies to build, integrate and evolve required Santander’s new global platforms.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

As DevOps Engineer, reporting to the Head of SCIB DevOps your objective will be helping on the DevOps implementation to leverage and promote DevOps culture as well as working on tasks related to this areas:

  • Secure coding. Provide tools and mechanisms to allow developers work in secure coding.
  • Release management process automation
  • Define quality gates and develop/provide frameworks and a platform which enables Product teams to automate tests.
  • Configuration and Secrets management
  • Enable infrastructure as code to Product Teams
  • Provide Observability as a service to facilitate Application and Infrastructure functional and technical monitoring and centralized logging.
  • Improve local development environments.
  • Build a self-service platform which allows Product Teams to consume all the above services.

So you will be helping promote engineering excellence practices to improve Time to Market, Collaboration, Standardization and Automation. But what is more important provide customer value which is what will allow us not just to search for our current customers delight but also find new ones.

We need someone like you to help us in this areas:

  • Provide a CICD elastic infrastructure to enable product teams run their pipelines.
  • Provide a catalog of component templates for all our tech stack which enables CICD automation out of the box through our Global Engineering platform
  • Implement CI and CD pipelines using our newest tools (Github Actions, Ansible, Helm…)
  • Administrate SCIB DevOps tools (JIRA, Confluence, Github, Sonar…)
  • Promote DevOps culture across SCIB.
  • Support and Guide teams on Global Engineering Platform adoption.
  • Collaborate with Global community to add more value to Product teams through the Global Engineering platform.
  • Documentation development and maintenance.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • +3 years of experience.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor or Degree in Engineering

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Git and repository scaffolding tools (Maven Archetype/Yeoman/Custom...)
  • Branching strategies (GitFlow, Trunk Based development)
  • CI tools (Github Actions)
  • Scripting (Ansible/Python/Helm)
  • Docker image builders (Docker/Podman/Buildah...)
  • Docker orchestrators (Kubernetes, Openshift)
  • Programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Shell scripting...)
  • Quality assurance tools and quality gates implementation (Sonarqube)
  • Automation testing and best practices TDD/BDD
  • Centralized logging tools (ELK)
  • Monitoring tools (*Beats, Prometheus, Grafana/Kibana, Dynatrace)

Desirable:

  • Relational DDBB (Oracle, MySql, PostgreSQL….)
  • NoSQL DDBB (MongoDB/Cassandra/DynamoDB)
  • Knowledge around Cloud services in main Public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge around API development (Swagger, API Managers...)
  • Knowledge around networking and load balancers (Nginx/F5/DNS managers, SSL Certificates)
  • Complex Pipeline architecture design (Appian, QlikSense, Control-M…..)
  • Static Security assurance tools SAST (Fortify)
  • Docker images security assurance tools (Sysdig)
  • Dynamic Security assurance tools DAST (BurpSuite)
  • BDD frameworks (Gherkin, Cucumber)
  • API Testing (Karate/Rest Assured)
  • Front end testing frameworks (Cypress/Playwright)
  • APM (Dynatrace)
  • AIOps (Pagerduty)
