Job Description

We are seeking a Director, Market IT Leader for the Human Health division within our commercial business in Brazil. In this pivotal role, the individual will report to the Human Health LATAM Regional IT Lead and act as a key member of the Brazil Human Health Leadership team. The IT leader will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align technological initiatives with growth strategies and operational priorities.
Key responsibilities will include translating business insights into effective technology, analytics, and digital initiatives, as well as building and executing a comprehensive IT plan to enhance organizational performance through integrated business strategies. The IT leader will also play a vital role in promoting employee productivity by partnering with various teams.
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role, as the IT leader will facilitate collaboration between IT and business units, influence stakeholders at all levels and drive prioritization and negotiation, while representing the One IT organization at the market level.
Furthermore, the IT leader will lead a high-performing IT team focused on implementing tailored solutions that meet local market needs while adhering to regulatory and enterprise standards, ensuring strong alignment with local Digital and Data teams.

Main responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning of digital capabilities, focusing primarily on enhancing commercial functions to support sales, marketing, and market access in Brazil. Anticipate business demands and proactively seek technology solutions for complex business opportunities and challenges.
Develop strategic partnerships with senior local leaders to become a trusted partner and advisor, demonstrating a deep understanding of the commercial business combined with technology.
Demonstrate matrix leadership of One IT resources across various functions, ensuring successful service delivery to internal customers aligned with business goals. This includes user experience, IT infrastructure services, training and tools platforms, software engineering, strategic software updates, platform architecture, information and data management, collaboration services, and application support and maintenance.
Build, promote, and develop a strong, highly engaged IT team with flexible skills aligned with the fast-evolving business strategy, capable of driving growth in an ambiguous environment. Proactively improve team performance, cohesiveness, and effectiveness while fostering an optimal agile culture in alignment with our HR guidelines.
Ensure effective communication within the team and the business leadership team, including roadmaps and strategic program updates. Seek constant input from key partners while influencing prioritization and promoting the scaling up of initiatives to the region (when applicable).
Maintain an in-depth understanding of local market business and technology skill sets in Brazil, partnering with local businesses to map and analyze the external healthcare ecosystem. Drive strategic partnerships from a technology and data perspective within this ecosystem to enable the implementation of integrated solutions.
Provide guidance on implementing enterprise practices, tailoring them to the specific needs of Brazil and its divisions (e.g. cybersecurity).
Manage the overall performance of the Brazil Market IT team, overseeing day-to-day operations and driving complex technical, operational, and strategic priorities.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Science or Business is required; an MBA is preferred.
A proven track record of success as a technology leader (minimum 5-10 years of experience) leading large-scale IT projects and digital transformation initiatives from ideation to implementation, working with business leadership teams in pharmaceutical or technology-driven industries, focused on technology and data strategy in commercial settings. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, align and simplify.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing and communicating effectively across all organizational levels, especially with senior and local leaders.
Hands-on approach in daily operations while maintaining a strategic IT vision.
Successful positive collaboration across diverse teams, including Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, and Product Development, and cross-functional teams.
Strong ability to work across boundaries and a commitment to self-directed learning.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making informed decisions, and guiding teams through uncertainty.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic perspective.
Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, IT architecture, data analytics, and relevant digital platforms. The candidate should also have experience with Agile methodologies.
Knowledge/experience of technology development and deployment of innovative solutions in any business domain from conceptualization through delivery.
Knowledge/experience in Systems Development Life Cycles
Experience managing cross-divisional projects and building effective cross-functional teams.
Proven people management and leadership experience, mentoring and developing high-performing teams while fostering inclusivity.
Background in technology development and deploying innovative solutions across various business domains from concept to delivery.
Demonstrated strong leadership, team-building competencies, and collaboration skills within a matrixed organization.
Strong personal and professional ethical values, impeccable integrity, and the energy level required to meet the demands of the position.
Fluency in English, and Spanish or Portuguese are required
