<title>About the role</title>

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and deploying Bolt's growing backend systems. That will mostly happen via coding in Node.js and TypeScript (PS: no previous experience with Node.js is needed). 

You will be closely collaborating with key internal stakeholders to determine how to scalably design backend systems and APIs to meet their needs.

• <point>Sharing your knowledge by giving tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices in and outside of the team</point>

<text>We are not really looking for Node.js experts, but for cross-language engineers for whom a specific stack is just a tool to solve a problem, not the solution itself.</text>

• <point>Familiarity with any cloud systems (AWS, Azure, Google app engine) is preferred</point>
• <point>Interest in real-time and asynchronous systems is an advantage</point>
• <point>Preferred experience in working with relational databases</point>
• <point>Experience building distributed high-volume systems and running highly available systems is an advantage</point>
