WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Within Consumer Merchandising, we are looking for 2 talents to join the team to lead Special Projects. In these roles, you will you focus on either 1) ACG and KOBE brands or 2) CORE LIFESTYLE FOOTWEAR (MENS & WOMENS).
You will partner with Partner Merchandising and Nike Direct to bring to life the product and merchandising vision in the right destinations. You will also work closely with the Global Product Merchandising Team, with whom you will line plan and finalize the seasonal product line for the consumers in EMEA.
Besides Merchants, you will interact with cross-functional partners within the Field of Play: GM, Planning and Marketing on a regular basis. You will collaborate with these partners to ensure the right insights, trends, and opportunities are addressed with speed at the right time to serve a new consumer and create demand.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for passionate senior merchants, who can think out of the box. You will drive the go to market process all the way from future line-planning to seasonal execution. The goal of the function is to serve the consumer in EMEA with the best product line-up, available where they shop, at the right time, right price and right place. The priority of your work will be to lead and drive the creation of the EMEA product line plan with an editor’s mindset, ensuring the consumer has clear and compelling choice by driving a profitable product line up. So, in short – we are looking for entrepreneurial Merchandisers, self-starters, collaborative and with clear knowledge of the EMEA marketplace and loves to create and drive a smooth process.
Requirements
Extensive experience in product merchandising and/or product creation demonstrating a high level of product, retail and merchandising acumen.
Commercial background is preferred (sales, marketplace/account merchandising)
Experience with translating observations of trends, colour, materials, and fashion into compelling line plans, product and assortment recommendations.
A clear understanding of the EMEA consumer and marketplace, and a great balance of art and science
Strong business orientation, analytical approach and retail and financial acumen to drive results.
Ability to deliver results against tight and complex timelines with competing priorities.
Self-starter individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and proven success in project management
Strong teammate and ability to effectively collaborate with peers with a proven track record in stakeholder management, cross functional partners, and senior management on all aspects of the business within a complex matrix organizational set-up.
Advanced influencing, communication & storytelling skills
Positive, problem-solving, and proactive attitude with high level of accountability
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
If this is you, you will Lead and execute the Nike Merchandising Strategy for either 1) ACG and KOBE brands or 2) CORE FOOTWEAR. With this, you will play a key role in creating the future of Nike thru line planning and marketplace strategy of the biggest growth opportunities for Nike. This includes working in a complex x-functional environment that includes different product engines and consumers.
As a SR. Merchant, you will lead your decision with consumer and marketplace insights to create and maintain the seasonal EMEA product line plan thru adoption, pricing and assortment creation. You will respond to shifts in market trends by adapting and adjusting seasons in flight. So basically, you’ll be responsible for feeding the Global Teams with the latest consumer and marketplace insights to influence future line-planning, as well as shepherding the seasons thru the process from concept to seasonal execution in the geography.
