Job Overview
Under general supervision, support security system standards, equipment, and contracts ensuring common global security system use when practical.
Essential Functions
• Assist with Security Systems installations at IQVIA facilities.
• Under guidance, install new software releases, system upgrades and patches and resolve software related problems.
• Review proposals and designs making recommendations for new and existing Security Systems as assigned.
• Perform system backups and recovery.
• Monitor system configurations and monitor performance to ensure data integrity on global server.
• Write reports from multiple sites regarding security systems.
• Receive and troubleshoot technical security equipment, micros and other hardware and software issues relating to the security systems for multiple locations globally.
• Coordinate Security Systems Service calls for multiple sites.
• Coordinate electronic access control systems and ensure that badge related SOPs are being properly followed at multiple facilities so that system integrity is not compromised.
• Assist in badge audits for multiple sites accounting for issued and current badge inventories.
• Assist with emergency evacuation plans for sites and ensure evacuation coordinators are briefed on plan changes when applicable.
• Ensure network security access and protect against unauthorized access, modification or destruction on a global level.
• Ensure timely and thorough communication of security issues to employees.
• Coordinate the installation, upgrade and conversion or servicing of alarm systems, access controls, CCTV systems and all other types of physical security equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Criminal Justice or Computer Science Req
• 5 years' experience operating, maintaining and administering access control, intrusion detection, CCTV or similar electronic systems Req Or
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience Req
• Knowledge of security principles, procedures, and related security measures required to protect corporate assets and personnel.
• Knowledge of database management.
• Knowledge of network transmission and communications, with a demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching; and of state-of-the-art security systems (computer applications, access control systems, incident/emergency response measures, and investigative support requirements).
• Excellent organizational, communication and technical skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
